San Diego Border Roleplay Border Patrol Guide

Join Border Patrol, run a checkpoint lane, approve or inspect Civilians, use secondary inspection, and progress responsibly.

Border Patrol runs the central San Diego Border Roleplay loop. Official badges confirm four early objectives: grant a Civilian entry, send one to secondary inspection, scan a Civilian, and process 25 Civilians. Chief of the Line confirms a maximum team rank. Learn those actions in order before trying to maximize traffic or XP.

Join and inspect your tools

Open the current team menu and select Border Patrol if it is available. Current guides report it as free, but verify the live access label. At spawn, inspect your uniform, vehicle choices, inventory, checkpoint tools, and rank panel. The official experience confirms unique team gear without itemizing it.

Find the active lane, decision area, secondary route, and scanner. Read the current prompts. Do not use a tool on another player until you understand its target and result.

Process the first Civilian

Receive one vehicle and keep the lane clear behind it. Follow the live inspection interface or roleplay prompt. Decide whether to approve, continue inspection, or send the vehicle to secondary according to the current tools and server rules.

Confirm the result. An approved Civilian should leave the control area. A secondary vehicle should move to the correct bay. Then reset your position for the next driver. This complete cycle is more valuable than clicking quickly without knowing which action succeeded.

Use secondary inspection well

Secondary inspection keeps longer checks away from the main lane. Signal the driver clearly and confirm the bay is usable. Do not send every vehicle there merely to farm a badge; follow the current game logic and server expectations.

Coordinate with teammates so the main lane and scanner do not target different vehicles. If the scanner prompt is missing, verify the equipped tool, team, rank, distance, and selected Civilian. Exact scan results and suspicion rules still need current-server testing.

Handle queues and busy servers

Assign one player to each active lane and one to secondary when possible. Use short messages with lane, vehicle, and outcome. Avoid clustering around one driver or leaving multiple barriers blocked.

If traffic becomes chaotic, slow the process rather than guessing. Clear completed vehicles, identify which one owns the active prompt, and resume in order. A calmer server can be better for learning than a crowded one.

Rank and XP boundaries

Chief of the Line proves that Border Patrol has a maximum rank, but the public badge does not list intermediate ranks or XP thresholds. Record the live rank label and progress before processing a fixed number of Civilians. Compare afterward, including failed or abandoned interactions.

Do not promise a fastest XP method from one server. Traffic, team size, action type, and updates can change the result. The Ranks guide and XP guide provide cautious tracking methods.

Respond to suspicious behavior

The official description acknowledges suspicious cargo, and the Armed and Suspicious badge confirms that a weapon near a federal agent can create wanted status. Use current tools and roleplay rules. Do not invent an item blacklist or detection chance from an old guide.

If a situation becomes a pursuit or arrest, communicate with Police rather than abandoning every lane. Keep the checkpoint usable. The Checkpoint guide covers the driver-agent flow, and the Police guide covers mobile enforcement.

Avoid common mistakes

Do not approve the wrong vehicle because two targets overlap. Do not send a driver to a bay that is occupied. Do not scan without confirming target and tool. Do not leave the barrier closed after a completed result.

Do not abuse the role to delay players, make random demands, or attack without context. The official experience asks players to respect roleplay. Server moderation and the live interface take priority over any fan instruction.

Improve after the first shift

After ten complete interactions, review which stage caused delays: receiving, decision, secondary movement, scanning, or exit. Improve one stage while keeping the others stable. Add teammates only when responsibilities are clear.

Use the official badge chain as a natural curriculum: approval, secondary, scanner, then 25 processed Civilians. Pursue maximum rank only after the basic job remains accurate under pressure.

Current verification checklist

Before publishing a tool, rank, or payout claim, record the team menu, displayed name, live prompt, action, result, server date, and progress change. Keep exact XP, income, permissions, and scanner rules blank until reproduced.

That approach produces a Border Patrol guide that remains useful after a UI update: receive the vehicle, make a supported decision, route it correctly, and restore the lane.
